Classical theory of boredomBy this theory, boredom is necessity, and this is the core fact where every person in certain development phase becomes bored.
There are 3 stages of boredom:
- Beer boredom - persons who consume beer in large amounts, using help of the couch and watch TV, with minimum usage of voice and movements
- Cycling boredom - person is one moment bored, one moment not, these are so called simpathisers of boredom
- Boring boredom - rarest type of boredom, some scientist even say it is the ultimate boredom, which is being showed by total lack of movement
Definition - "Pensioner" is person that is being bored to do something
Neoclassial theory of boredomBy this theory, pensioner is not only person that is being bored to do something, but he needs also to be bored to become pensioner (so caller needed condition of boredom).
This theory was harshly criticized by modern pension theorist, but this showed other dimension of boredom, and initiated new theories, where most known is individual - psihological theory of pension structure
Individual - psihological theory of pension structureOne of the most important practical theories of boredom. By this theory, range of social boredom is being mesured by individual boredom and pension. By this theory, there are two pension instincts - couch instinct and boredom factor, which are complement. By researches these two instincts are mostly showed in afternoon hours. This theory inspired pension philosophers:
- Couch effect - with growth of couch comfort pension is growing, with certain couch comfort pension range is growing to infinite
- Remote control paradox - with decrease of number of TV channels, pension is growing, because smaller number of channels needs less movements to watch TV
