What we call the secret of happiness is no more a secret than our willingness to choose life. Leo Buscaglia

Beginning of the year... new challenges and new successes. I feel the biggest challenge is up to a lot of us, to make decisions. To choose our next step, to make choice as we all want to have this right. Also, there is another challenge ahead of us, to take all the inspiration, energy and knowledge we have, and to make the most for our successors, and for AIESEC.

I know the decisions are not easy to make, but that’s what makes the difference... Keep up the spirit and energy and take care in New Year! I wish you all a lot of positive vibrations!

Dear candidate,

Welcome and congratulations for making a step forward in your personal and professional development. Congratulations for being aware of the contribution you can make to the global, national and local development of AIESEC by being a member of the Member Committee in AIESEC Serbia.
This year AIESEC in Serbia went through organizational alignment to AIESEC 2010 and Balance Score Card implementation. It is also a year of capacity building in terms of knowledge and education, especially in our members’ understanding of our organization, our system and processes we use in everyday work. This is also a year of involvement of members from AIESEC Serbia in global and GN teams (Global Communication Crew, People Development Unit, E-Drive team). In this year at IPM in Egypt there will be two candidates from Serbia applying for AIESEC International. In near future we are honored to have opportunity to welcome you in Serbia at EuroXpro 2007.
The year ahead of us shall be a step forward in taking AIESEC Serbia into the company of leading AIESEC countries in our global network; a step forward from a country with heaps of potential to the country that is a leading driver of growth in the region; a step forward to AIESEC playing an crucial role in development of youth in Serbia.
This is the year where we shall focus on making possible the sustainable results oriented organization with constant focus on growth. It is also a year for making Strategy everyone’s every day job. It is a year of utilizing the potential AIESEC Serbia has.
We know that the challenge is big.
We know that expectations are high.
But if we didn’t know that you are able to meet the expectations and that you enjoy challenges, we wouldn’t be mentioning it at all.

This day was amazing experience not just for the 150 delegates of this conference, but for all the facilitators, supporters and people that helped us in organizing this event. I am sure this was amazing experience to OC too. Thank you for make this possible for us.
The best way to share the experience, energy and positive vibration that was on the 25th floor of “Usce” building is to hear what the people that were there said:

dragi lideri,
drago mi je sto sam bio deo ovog dogadjaja....
svaka cast organizacionom odboru....nadam se da cete uskoro organizovati nastavak ove price, bilo da je to jos jedno zvanicno okupljanje ili neko krajnje neformalno druzenje...
pozzz ,

3.AIESEC International Updates

2006, a year with first decrease in Exchange results after 4 years of continuous growth.

After an amazing period since 2002 that showed continuous growth in Exchange results, we face the first year where a decrease might happen. We currently have only 4063 realized exchanges which is 7.5% decrease compared with 2005 (4391 realized exchanges).

4.:: CEE CEED Program 06-07::.

WHO ROCKS THE HOUSE?!?

The correct answer for this question is obviously CEE ROCKS THE HOUSE. And we do so amongst others because of the professional and exciting initiatives we run together.

One of these initiatives is the CEE CEED Program. It is an opportunity for all AIESEC people to discover and develop their potential. Cultural Envoy for Exchange Development means being ambassador of your LC and country by going to a foreign LC and taking responsibilities there. CEEDs continue usually from 2 to 8 weeks and are happening in the summer but again It's up to you when and for how long you want to go on a CEED.

CEE CEED Program unities all the 22 territories in Central and Eastern Europe and from March onwards you'll be able to apply for a CEED and than contribute in other CEE LC life and be a part of its successes and growth.

CEEDs may have different focus - dependent on your choice - Delivering Trainings, Fundraising, Event Organization, Project Participation, etc. but still all CEEDers gain:
*international experience
*development of personal skills
*change management
*cultural exposure
*building personal network

To learn more about the program you can:
- Join community Growth Network - CEE and download the 1st Promotional PPT
- Contact your MC CEED Responsible alexandra.surkalovic@gmail.com
- Contact the CEE CEED Coordinator Didi on dobriyana.dimitrova@aiesec.net

5.EXPRO

A couple of thoughts, Pt.2 /
29.12. 2006.

Hello everybody!

Here comes the next installment of my thoughts that I wish to share with all of you. New year is just a few days away, the rush for the right place to greet it is entering the red scale. Same story like every year, but not so same for me. Ok, I know the right places for me, only for the first time in my life NY is out of my top priority list. Many events happened since i wrote here last time that changed my course a lot and EuroXPRO 2007 is just one of them.
As you read last time I wrote you we were in the middle of the election process for the new EXPRO team. Well, the process lasted for a whole month, well yes, we had sooooo many candidates that we couldn't decide earlier :).
And now, without any further delay, I present you the new EXPRO CORE TEAM :)

Damjan Radenkovic, CCVP Finance
Dragana Markovic, CCVP Special Events
Mirko Samardzic, CCVP Logistics
Ana Marinkovic, CCVP External Relations
Lidija Pajic, CCVP Communications

I wish them to have absolutely unforgettable time creating the EXPRO story!

Of course, this is not the only thing that is new, we are already working 110% so we can overcome the gap that occurred because of the pretty big pause between the work of the last and the new CC team.

And so my friends, I wish you all the best for New Year, many happy moments and don't forget to make a wish at twelve o'clock - this one comes true!

Yours,

Nikola Gavric

6. International Faci experiences

"Bok,
Lani, sredinom studenog prošle godine Maja i ja smo bili u Zagrebu,
Mica

DecNatCo Bulgaria
At December National Conference in Bulgaria we had one MC representative as a member of faci team - Vlada.

Just days before MCP elections in our country suppose to happen, I visited DecNatCo. Seeing MCP elections and everything else there gave me fantastic perspective and wider understanding of the organization and myself, as well. I enjoyed very much there working with faci & MC team and lovely chair Ira. Atmosphere of homegroups and Bulgarian hospitality – You just can't not to love it.

Thank you AIESEC Bulgaria for this wonderful experience.
Vlada
